I like the light point for balance also, besides I like to respect the choices of the photographer and would not presume to change them. I may like or dislike someone’s work but it is not for me to change it or attempt to improve on it as if I knew better. Nice portrait and light :}

Strong and nice portrait!
Like your cropping and the post processing.
Would have been even better (in our opinion) if you get rid of the light point at the left, which is a bit disturbing, and it is easy to remove!
